Executive Functioning Sessions
What is Executive Functioning
Executive function is the brain's management system, a set of advanced mental skills controlled primarily by the prefrontal cortex that allows you to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. Experts often compare it to an air traffic control system at a busy airport, managing the arrivals and departures of thoughts, priorities, and impulses so you can achieve your goals. Each of our sessions below have been designed to assist your at any stage of need.
Executive Skills Assessment
Everyone possesses a unique cognitive fingerprint. Our Executive Skills Assessment helps you pinpoint your specific pattern of strengths and weaknesses across the "Essential 12" skills. These sessions help individuals understand their proficiency in areas like response inhibition, working memory, and emotional control, so they can leverage their natural talents to compensate for the "blind spots" that derail productivity.
The Focus: By mastering these brain-based skills, individuals can move beyond reactive, "firefighting" modes to become proactive orchestrators of their professional and personal lives.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Complete the Executive Skills Assessment to identify your unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses across the "Essential 12" skill sets
-
(b) Understand core executive function areas — including response inhibition, working memory, and emotional control — and how they show up in daily behavior
-
(c) Leverage natural strengths to compensate for executive function "blind spots" that derail productivity
-
(d) Shift from reactive, "firefighting" modes to proactive, intentional management of professional and personal life

Deep Focus: A High-Intensity Focus Working Session
Your ability to focus your attention toward tasks that produce substantial value will result in lifelong assets to sustain professional growth. Participants will learn to master Deep Work — cognitively demanding activities performed in a state of distraction-free concentration that push your mental capabilities to their limit. You will contrast this with Shallow Work, which consists of logistical, non-demanding tasks often performed while distracted, that return little value and are easily replicated by others.
The Focus: To produce at your peak level, this program emphasizes working for extended, uninterrupted periods on a single task to ensure your brain is fully "cleared" before a transition occurs.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Distinguish between Deep Work and Shallow Work, and identify which tasks in your current workload fall into each category
-
(b) Build the capacity to work in extended, distraction-free, uninterrupted periods on a single high-value task
-
(c) Practice mental "clearing" techniques between tasks to protect focus during transitions and sustain peak cognitive performance

The 90-Day Planner: BMG 12-Week Year Execution System
The number one factor holding most individuals back is not a lack of knowledge or ideas, but the execution gap — the breakdown between knowing what to do and actually doing it. This high-impact session introduces the 12-Week Year execution system, a flexible and scalable framework designed to help you and your team, group, or family perform at your best every single day.
The Focus: In this system, every week counts as a month and every day counts as a week. Each of our sessions is designed to narrow each participant's focus into the moments where execution actually occurs.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Identify and close your personal or team execution gap — the breakdown between knowing what to do and actually doing it
-
(b) Apply the 12-Week Year framework, compressing planning cycles so every week functions as a month and every day functions as a week
-
(c) Narrow daily focus into the specific moments where execution occurs, sustaining consistent high performance across individual, team, group, or family contexts
Professional Development and Capacity Building
Whether you are leading a corporate department, a community group, or a household, the strength of your "team" depends on its tactical capacity — the ability to function under changing conditions and translate your plans into actions decisively and rapidly. This session provides a customized professional development blueprint for building high-performing units through three essential pillars.
The Focus: We begin by establishing a foundation of Burning Imperative — an intensely shared and purposefully urgent understanding of what the team is to execute, driven by "The Urgency of NOW." Current, new, or transitioning leaders are trained to embed this mission within their first 30 days to create an immediate sense of direction and urgency. Performance and tactical capacity are then made real through a rigorous milestone management process.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Establish a Burning Imperative — an intensely shared, urgent understanding of what the team must execute now, grounded in "The Urgency of NOW"
-
(b) Train current, new, or transitioning leaders to embed the mission within their first 30 days, creating immediate direction and urgency
-
(c) Apply a rigorous milestone management process to drive sustained performance and tactical capacity

Digital Knowledge Management: Building Your Second Brain
This session is designed to transform your relationship with modern technology, moving it from a source of constant distraction to a powerful "Thinking Tool" that helps you reclaim your time and cognitive energy. By integrating advanced digital systems with proven executive functioning strategies, you will build a sustainable infrastructure to help you perform more productively.
The Focus: You will learn to build a "Second Brain" — a digital archive of your most valuable ideas and knowledge. This "external brain" serves as a perfectly reliable personal assistant, always ready to capture and resurface information when you need it most.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Build a personalized "Second Brain" system to capture, organize, and archive valuable ideas and knowledge in a reliable digital format
-
(b) Integrate digital systems with proven executive functioning strategies to reduce distraction and reclaim cognitive energy
-
(c) Establish a sustainable digital infrastructure that supports consistent, productive performance over time
-
(d) Join ongoing cohort meetups to continue refining your Second Brain system alongside peers, reinforcing habits and troubleshooting real-world implementation

The Performance Time Model: Mastering Your Execution Rhythm
Intentionality is the secret weapon against mediocrity. Instead of letting the day control you through input triggers like dings and rings, the Performance Time session uses preplanned scheduling strategies to execute your actions. The Performance Time Model is a structured time-blocking system designed to move individuals from reactive action to intentional, success-driven task activity.
The Focus: By grouping activities into specific "blocks and cycles," individuals can protect their highest-value time periods while efficiently managing essential tasks across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual horizons.
Session Outcomes aim to:
-
(a) Review the three primary systems used to regain control of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual activities
-
(b) Apply structured time-blocking to group activities into intentional "blocks and cycles"
-
(c) Shift from reactive, input-driven action to intentional, success-task-driven execution, protecting highest-value time periods while efficiently managing essential tasks
